Sony’s mobile phone operations have long failed to show their brightness, and this year the flagship aircraft were once shut down at a time of quality problems, while in a highly competitive Chinese market, the sound of exit was once denied. Recently, however, Sony Xperia’s microblogging has been emptied and the Internet has removed its mobile phone project, which seems to be a precursor to ending the market.
Netizens have found that Sony has applied for “free write-off, stop-up” in the official account number “Soney Xperia” and that if Sony’s network is switched to the national area, there is no “cell phone” classification in the list of products.
At the same time, the related site and domain names of Sony Xpeira in the country are in an unaccessible 404, meaning that all the pages that existed in the past have been removed.
Because in March 2024, Sony tried to exit China’s mobile market, when the company denied it, saying that it was doing all the work.
Even though Sony has yet to respond, the total disappearance of the community, the official network, may not have been the same as the rumour at the time, and, together with Sony’s failure to bring new products to China since 2023, Xperia 5 V, makes it difficult not to speculate that the existing stocks have been digested and ready to go.
